Projects and pages

Projects is where every website and every page lives. Each project is one website; open a project to see its pages.

How to open it

Choose Projects in the Build group of the nav rail.

What you can do here

  1. Make a project. Choose New project, type a name such as "Acme Bakery" and create it. It starts with a blank first page.
  2. Open a project. Projects show as folders. Click one (or Open folder) to see its pages. All folders takes you back.
  3. Add a page. Choose New page, then fill in the page title and address, and choose what to Start from: Blank, a template, a component, or Generate with AI. A Landing page option gives you an offer, a form and a thank-you page with no menu.
  4. Work on a page. Each page card has Edit, Preview, Publish or Unpublish, Duplicate, Delete and a More menu with Rename, Move to…, Save as template, Parent page…, Password…, Campaign & end date… and A/B test….
  5. Handle many pages at once. Tick pages with Select, or use Select all shown, then publish, unpublish, move or delete them together.
  6. Find pages. Use the search box, the All tags filter, and the grid or list view toggle.

Things worth knowing

  • Rename changes the page's title only; the address stays the same, so existing links keep working.
  • Password… asks visitors for a password. Tick the option to protect its child pages too.
  • Deleted pages go to the Bin and stay there for 30 days. Open Bin, then Restore to bring one back as a draft, with its history.
  • Members and Portal buttons open who can edit the website and the members' area. See Portal.
  • Save as template (project level) turns a whole website into a reusable template.

Note

A new page always belongs to a project. If you have none yet, the New page window lets you create one first.

Where to go next

The page builder is where you design a page. Publish puts it online.
