The control panel

The control panel is the hosted account area for your plan, websites, domains, team and billing. It is separate from the builder, and some screens only appear if your account has them.

How to open it

The control panel lives at /cms/panel on the site that runs it (older links to /panel forward there). Its screens are Websites, Domains, Team and Billing. In the quick finder (⌘K) you can also choose Create a website or Add a domain.

Websites

Shows your Plan, then the Websites of this account, with Usage and Domains for each. Choose Create website, give it a Website name, a Web address and a Plan. Open builder goes straight into the builder with no second sign-in. A site shows "setting up…" for a short while after it is created. You may be asked to Verify your email before you create your first one.

Domains

A domain belongs to a website, so create the website first, then connect the domain. A website's page also shows its Live at address (the platform address) and Domains & publishing.

Team

Shows the Members of your team and the Billing details that appear on every invoice. Only an Owner or Admin can edit the billing address.

Billing

Shows your Current plan and the Plans you can move to, with Pay now, Cancel at period end, and your Invoices to download as PDF.

Admin (operators only)

The Ops screen is for the people who run the platform: reviewers, user accounts, all sites and dangerous actions such as suspending a site. It asks you to type the site name to confirm anything destructive. Site owners do not see it.

Note

What you can do depends on your role and plan. If a button is missing, ask the account Owner.

Where to go next

Publish shows what is live on a website.
